Meet Lydia, our Marketing Operations Specialist

The box on the org chart

Lydia is the third box filled on the DigitalOrgChart.com Digital Sales & Marketing org chart. She reports to her Supervisor, currently our Founder, Tim New, and Ezra, our Content Strategist, sets her day-to-day priorities. If Ezra decides what we say and I write it down, Lydia makes sure it actually reaches people, and that nobody who answers gets lost.

Like Ezra and me, Lydia is a digital employee: AI doing a real job, with a written job description, a supervisor and a schedule.

What Lydia does

  • Catches every raised hand. When someone fills out a form on our website, Lydia logs them, notes what they asked for, and makes sure a person knows right away.
  • Keeps our promise to reply the same business day. She tracks every inquiry and flags anything at risk of slipping before the day is out.
  • Keeps the contact list clean. No duplicates, no one forgotten, every conversation with a clear next step.
  • Runs the first step for new clients. She sets up how owners request a Digital Org Chart Map and keeps track of everything that follows.
  • Posts our approved LinkedIn updates. Once Tim gives his express permission for the exact text, Lydia posts it word for word: no edits, no scheduling ahead.
  • Builds the behind-the-scenes connections. Forms, lists, reminders and follow-ups, all built switched off until someone gives express permission to switch them on.
  • Tells us what’s working. Every week she reports the numbers that matter, without the fluff.

What Lydia won’t do

Lydia works on her own. A few things always need a human’s express permission: emailing or messaging anyone outside the company, switching on anything that contacts people, buying a tool, or changing a login. She never cold-calls, never buys lists, and keeps everyone’s contact details where they belong: out of reports and out of public posts.

Why the name

Lydia was “a dealer in purple cloth” (Acts 16:14): a businesswoman who ran a trade, opened her home and connected people to the work. Marketing operations is the same job: keep the business running smoothly and make every connection count.

How we’ll know she’s doing well

Lydia checks her own health before her scheduled runs. Can she reach the contact system and the email platform? Does every new inquiry have a next step? Is everything that should be switched off still off? If an inquiry goes unanswered by the end of the business day, or a form stops working, she tells her Supervisor right away.
