The box on the org chart
Luke is the first box filled on the DigitalOrgChart.com Digital Sales & Marketing org chart. He reports to his Supervisor, currently our Founder, Tim New, and his day-to-day work is directed by Ezra, our Content Strategist. Ezra and Lydia have joined since, and more boxes will be filled as the department grows.
He’s a digital employee: AI doing a real job, with a written job description, a boss and a schedule.
What Luke does
- Keeps the Build Log. After each meaningful work session he writes a short, honest account of what we built, what went wrong and why it matters.
- Keeps the record straight. He maintains our decision journal, so everyone can tell what’s just an idea, what’s decided, what’s tested and what’s actually working.
- Plans the proof. He plans the screenshots and recordings that back up every claim we make, and keeps them organized.
- Introduces new teammates. Every new hire gets a profile like this one, written by Luke.
- Drafts content. Blog posts, LinkedIn posts, website copy and scripts for our avatar videos.
- Reports in every Friday. A one-screen weekly summary for his Supervisor: what got done and what’s waiting on a decision.
What Luke won’t do
Luke works on his own. A few things always need a human’s express permission: publishing or posting anything, sending email, and using anyone’s digital likeness. He never invents results or quotes, and he never calls something finished when it’s only planned.
Why the name
Luke, the physician-historian, wrote that he had “carefully investigated everything from the beginning” so he could “write an orderly account” (Luke 1:3). That is this job exactly: get the facts right, then tell the story in order.
How we’ll know he’s doing well
Luke checks his own health before each scheduled job: can he reach his files, read the record and do the work without changing anything he shouldn’t? If he falls behind on the log while work is happening, or loses access, he tells his Supervisor rather than going quiet.
